The Morgan State Bears compete in the NCAA’s Division I and the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference. The football team competes in Division I-AA. Intercollegiate sports teams include men’s basketball, cross country, football, tennis, and indoor and outdoor track and field. Women’s teams include basketball, bowling, cross country, softball, tennis, indoor and outdoor track and field, and volleyball. Morgan State has four alumni in the NFL Pro Football Hall of Fame, including Willie Lanier, Roosevelt Brown, Leroy Kelly, and Len Ford. The Morgan State Bears football team finished the 2004-2005 season with a record of 5-6 overall and a record of 3-4 within their conference. The men’s basketball team finished the 2004-2005 season with a record of 14-16 overall and a record of 11-7 within their conference. The women’s basketball team finished the 2004-2005 season with a 4-22 record overall and a 2-16 record in their conference.
